With a little preparation, and a TSA-approved cosmetic bag, you can step off the plane feeling refreshed and ready for adventure. Prepare yourself for the journey with the following tips!
Pack Your Carry-On
When it comes to red-eye flights and lengthy layovers, your carry-on bag is your best friend. Aside from your travel essentials like money, passport, and identification, ensure that you bring the necessary equipment items for your plane ride. Pack TSA-approved containers of face wash, moisturizer, deodorant, toothpaste, and a toothbrush. Make sure that all items are sealed in a quart-sized bag.
Wash Your Face
Airplanes are a breeding ground for bacteria. You might not have the resources or the time to shower after your flight, but you can always wash your face and hands. Use traditional face wash in the airport restroom or opt to bring facial cleansing or exfoliating cloths during long flights to keep your skin feeling clear and refreshed.
Apply Moisturizer
Once you’ve cleansed your skin be sure to apply moisturizer, your skin will thank you on long international flights. The air on an airplane is incredibly dry, and your skin produces more oil to compensate for the lack of moisture. The reaction your skin has to air travel can lead to a variety of reactions, such as irritation and acne. Apply a moisturizer to your face before and after your flight to ensure that your skin feels its best.
Change Your OOTD
Once you land, head to the closest bathroom and change your clothes. Changing your outfit promotes good hygiene, but it also provides you with a fresh take on the new day. If you can’t fit an entire outfit in your carry-on, consider packing a fresh pair of undergarments and socks to refresh you after your journey.
