See the Goldenes Dachl
Innsbruck is truly a beautiful city, and one day of exploration won’t do it justice. Before you dance the night away on New Year’s Eve, explore Innsbruck with a local historian. One of the most captivating landmarks of the city is the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof). Completed in 1500, the roof was decorated with nearly 3,000 fire-gilded copper tiles to mark Emperor Maximillian’s wedding to Bianca Maria Sforza. Today, the roof shines in the midday sun as a beacon of Innsbruck’s unique heritage.
