Ring in 2025 with Our Alpine New Year’s Celebration Trip

We at AESU have our hidden gem seven-day Alpine New Year’s Celebration trip in Innsbruck, Austria!

There are various reasons you may be searching for the best places to go for New Year’s Eve this year. You might be burnt out from the gatherings on your home turf, needing to get away after Christmas, or simply want to see what festivities look like somewhere you’ve never been before. It is not too late to head elsewhere on a winter getaway for the variously dreaded and delightful New Year’s Eve and ring in the new year with a fun adventure for one of the world’s most famous celebrations. We at AESU have our hidden gem seven-day Alpine New Year’s Celebration trip in Innsbruck, Austria. Read on to learn more!

Innsbruck Sights and Sounds

Our tour starts in the medieval old town of Innsbruck, where you can experience specular views of mountain ranges, cathedrals, and palaces. Our tour will take us to the center of Innsbruck to the famous “Golden Roof,” which is decorated with 3,000 fire-gilded copper tiles. We’ll pass the famous triumph gate of Innsbruck, “Hofburg” Imperial Palace, and the “Hofkirche” chapel, and then visit the Olympic Bergisel Stadium and the Ski Jump, with some of the most stunning views over Innsbruck and the Inn Valley. We will also visit the Ambras Palace, built by Archduke Ferdinand II a half millennium ago. The food in Innsbruck is delicious as well; they are known for the best pastries in Austria, as well as some delicious coffee and spicy mulled wine.

Skiing and Snowboarding in the Alpine

Our New Year’s celebration trip will feature our very own Winter Olympics. A snowshoe hike will take us off the beaten path with white, fresh snow clinging to the mountain peaks, spectacular views, and even a few wildlife sightings. After discovering our inner Inuit by building an igloo, we will enjoy a meal on top of the mountains. If you would like to ski or snowboard on your own, talk with our tour directors about equipment rental and ski pass prices!

Ringing in the New Year in Style

On December 31st, we will ring in the New Year in style. We will enjoy a dinner of Tyrolian

specialties accompanied with local wines and then take a cable-care to Seegrube and “Cloud 9” with stunning views of New Year’s Eve fireworks. At 6,000 feet above sea level, Cloud 9 is known as the Alps’ highest club, and it features DJs performing from all around the world – making this the perfect setting to dance the night away and say hello to a new year.
