Angkor Wat: A Stunning Temple in Cambodia

Angkor Wat is a fantastic temple in Cambodia, known for its intricate Khmer architectural style. Here, you can also see the Bayon Temple, which is adorned with iconic stone faces. Angkor Wat is famously known for its splendor and features one of the longest continuous bas-relief in the entire world, narrating stories from Hindu mythology. It was originally made as a Hindu temple that is dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire and eventually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the very end of the 12th century.

Siem Reap

Our tour will also stop in Phnom Penh. Along the way, we’ll stop to explore the stunning Spider Market and historic Naga bridge. In Phnom Penh, we will dive into the poignant history of the region with a visit to the Tuol Sleng prison, otherwise known as the Genocide Museum. This facility used to be a Khmer Rouge security camp, and offers insights into the dark past, which was originally designed for the interrogation and the persecution of these deemed anti-Angkor. The day then concludes with a great dinner at a local restaurant.

Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City is one other must-visit destination in Cambodia, and our tour stops here as well. Here we visit the Cu Chi tunnels, which is an impressive underground network that spans over 125 miles. These tunnels, which were built by the Viet Cong, served as hideouts, hospitals, and shelters in the Vietnam War. Following this historical exploration, we will also visit the Reunification Palace, which is an enduring symbol of the war’s finish in 1975. Our tour also visits the Ben Thanh Market, which is a famous landmark in the city.
