JBR Beach
Easily the busiest beach in Dubai, this is the place to be to experience the liveliness of the city firsthand. It is a long stretch of beach too, starting at the Zero Gravity club and extending all the way to the breakwaters next to the Sheraton Jumeirah resort. While it may be hard to find your own spot on the shore during peak hours, you’ll be able to find just about everything else – great food and ice cream spots are everywhere here. And best of all, it’s free!
Al Sufouh Beach
This beach is also known locally as the Black Palace Beach due to its proximity to the private island and palace of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister/Vice President of the UAE. While this beach is considered a hidden gem because of how tricky it can be to find, the photo opportunity with the iconic Burj al Arab Jumeirah hotel is totally worth the effort. Make sure to bring refreshments and anything else you might need for a day at the beach – since the beach is somewhat hidden, there are no facilities.
Kite Beach
Wide-open and perfect for flying kites, this beach also offers many different outdoor activities. For those on land, there are skate parks, the human slingshot at XDubai, and a running track. Watersports are also well-represented with kayaking, water skiing, and paddleboarding on offer! Kite Beach is also known as THE place to go for the best food trucks in Dubai, so come hungry!
