Spotlight Destination 2025: Nordic Wonders

We at AESU have an upcoming trip to Sweden, Denmark, and Oslo – which is known as our Nordic Wonders tour!

If you’re in the mood to check out some northern European countries, then you’re in luck. We at AESU have an upcoming trip to Sweden, Denmark, and Oslo – which is known as our Nordic Wonders tour! If you’d like to learn all about this tour and these three wonderful cities, we’re here to break down each one. Read on to learn more!

Stockholm, Sweden

Stockholm is known as the heart of Sweden’s vibrant culture. Get prepared to experience a perfect blend of old-world charm and cutting-edge innovation here. From the great streets of Gamla Stan to trendy neighborhoods like Sodermalm, Stockholm has an ideal mix of music, art, and nightlife that is great for the adventurous spirit! Don’t miss a chance to indulge in Swedish fika culture, too; those coffee breaks are a must-see! While here, we’ll go through the charming cobbled streets of Old Town, where history comes to life in each corner. You can marvel at the majestic Royal Palace, which stands as a testament to Sweden’s regal past. Hop on a ferry to Djurgarden, a spot of great nature and culture, where you can explore some optional tours of the ABBA Museum or the Nordic Museum, each offering a unique glimpse into the Scandinavian pop culture or Scandinavian heritage.

Copenhagen, Denmark

We then embark into Copenhagen, which is a charming city in Denmark. We will start by wandering along the cobblestone sidewalk of Nyhavn, where the colorful 17th-century townhomes and vibrant waterfront cafes capture this city’s maritime spirit. Do not miss the chance to stand in awe of the famous Little Mermaid statue, a symbol of the allure of Copenhagen set against the harbor. On our walk, we’ll also see the stunning Christiansburg Palace, which is a regal residence that is the famous home of the Danish Parliament, the Prime Minister’s Office, and their Supreme Court. Consider trying a Smorrebrod, which is a traditional Danish sandwich for lunch, and if you’re up for a treat, a guided tour of the Carlsberg Brewery for a taste of Danish brewing culture and heritage.

Oslo, Norway

To end the trip, we will arrive in Oslo, Norway’s capital. This city effortlessly combines modern design and natural beauty. From its famous museums to stunning flora views, Oslo offers a special blend of culture that is waiting to be explored. During our guided tour of Oslo, we will also explore the historic grounds of the Akershus Fortress, where the echoes of the past meet the views of the harbor, and then wander through the heart of the city to witness the grandeur of the Royal Palace.
