Galapagos Travel Guide, What to Expect from This Beautiful Country

In today’s blog, we will explain how to plan, organize, and enjoy a trip to the Galapagos.

A trip to the Galapagos – a chain of islands on the equator located in the Pacific – will contain plenty of amazing “Galapagos moments” like this one, from seeing 150-year-old tortoises in the wild to snorkeling in the blue ocean. In today’s blog, we will explain how to plan, organize, and enjoy a trip to the Galapagos. We at AESU have a tour of the Galapagos planned for April 2025, so visit our website or give us a call if you’re interested. Read on to learn more!

When is the Perfect Time to Visit the Galapagos Islands?

You can see animals year-round in the Galapagos. However, certain animals, like dolphins and whales, are a lot more likely to be seen in specific seasons. If you’re interested in birds and reptiles, you may want time to visit to match the nesting times. The best times to go to the Galapagos are between November and April. You will be in time for the hatching of Galapagos giant Tortoise eggs. Make sure to book your trip in advance to make sure you get your first choice for hotels and lock in lower rates before skyrocketing. Get in touch with AESU Travel to book your trip for next April now!

What are the Best Spots to Visit in the Galapagos?

One of the best places to visit in the Galapagos Islands is Santa Cruz Island, home to so many of the archipelago’s best attractions. You will find Tortuga Bay here, arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world and one of the best places to spot the Galapagos’ most iconic animals. Tortuga Bay has its name from marine turtles that come to the beach every January and February to lay and hatch their eggs. The beach is also home to other critters like iguanas, sea lions, crabs, and much more. It is definitely one of the best beaches to visit for nature lovers. You can also spot some more native wildlife at Rancho Primicias, which is a private farm known for its giant tortoise reserve. You will not believe the size of these guys until you see them in person!
